HPC has been hosting a three-day summer camp here at the Annex for inner city middle and high school kids. We bussed them in from all over to show them the passionate love of Christ. I had the awesome privilege of helping with the dance workshop we did for the girls. The first day, most of them had a hard shell- refusing to do the dance, thinking they were too cool, laughing at us white girls… but today when I left, they all ran to give me hugs and tell me thank-you. They were some of the greatest girls ever… and boy, could they dance!!! It felt a lot like a mission trip: we went to give people something and bless them, but they gave us so much more!
