Family & Fun-Filled Holiday
Wow! What an amazing Thanksgiving week we had! We found out that we’re having a girl on Monday. I got to spend all day Tuesday and Wednesday with my mom. Thanksgiving Thursday morning we went to my aunt and uncle’s and got to spend several hours with them, my cousins and my Grammy. That evening we traveled to the booming metropolis of Slaughter, LA to hang out with Chris’ parents, brother, sister, aunt and uncle. Friday night we drove to Denham Springs to celebrate Christmas (yes, Christmas) with some of Chris’ out-of-town family from Florida who won’t be able to make it in December. Then Saturday we headed back out to Slaughter and got to spend the whole day with family again. Then on Sunday we had lunch with them and spent part of the afternoon together before they finally had to start the journey back to Texas. Sunday night, we went to Babies R Us and got all registered for the little one! We are now registered there and potterybarnkids.com! Baby stuff is so great!
We are so blessed to have lives filled with such joy and love. Some people don’t even have one family that cares for them, and here we are with four sets of families to spend time with and a beautiful baby girl on the way. We are so grateful for everyone God has given us and are really enjoying the holiday season already!!

Presenting… Presley Claire Matt!!!
This is a front shot… lovely eye sockets, huh? Chris wants her to have my eyes. I want her to have his eye lashes. We will see soon enough!
On the left are her thighs pushed together because she was crossing her legs!! On the right is her right foot… it’s so perfect!
This is showing that she’s a girl… apparently that little white line is the tell-tale sign! Of course, this picture was after 30 minutes of begging her to uncross her legs… she’s a modest little thing!
Her future bedding set at Pottery Barn Kids (but the bumper will be in green)!
(P.S. You can click on the pictures to make them bigger)

Presley Claire Matt will be joining us in April! During the 45 minutes that we were taking her pictures, her legs were crossed most of the time and she kept her hands up by her face a lot (I got a modesty missy)… Plus, she was moving around like crazy. She’s an active little thing! At one point, she even had her hand on her hip- she’s gonna be a priss just like her mommy!! She’s got ten perfect fingers and toes, and all the anatomy looks great! It was a very emotional experience to see this perfect little baby living inside of me and hear her heartbeat at 161bpm… Thank you, Jesus! This is the best thing ever!
I love to get kicked!!

The Baby!
Ok, so I can honestly say that pregnancy has probably been the greatest time of my life. Not only am I married to this absolutely AMAZING studmuffin of a man, but I get to carry this precious child inside of me. This is not a privilege I take lightly. A couple months ago when we heard the heartbeat, I thought that was the coolest thing ever. But then today, I started feeling the baby moving around & kicking like crazy… and that’s definitely the coolest thing ever. And on Monday, we get to see the baby on the sonogram and find out what we’re having… and I am pretty sure that on Monday, I will think that was the coolest thing ever.
I love that with this nine-month journey, we get to experience such wonderful things. I fully understand that when this bundle of joy is born, there will be many years of incredible milestones and experiences to come… But for now, I am totally enjoying every bit of this pregnancy!!!
Cool story
I have nothing insightful to say. My brain is pretty much mush at the moment. (Try saying “pretty much mush” ten times fast) However, I stumbled across this really cool story and wanted to share.
“Reppin’ that purple and gold!”

It’s official: Two of my most favorite people on the planet- Chase Matt & Mackey Bugueno- are moving to Baton Rouge and coming to LSU!!! Well, at least they have both been accepted… we are still waiting on scholarship info, but I am believing God for that money to come pouring in for them. They currently live in Kingwood, TX and we only get to see them a few times a year for a few days at a time. Beginning next fall, we will get to see them whenever we want, and they’ll get to spend time with their brand new niece or nephew!! No, Mackey is not “technically” family, but she is as close as it gets to being like a sister to me, Chris and Lauren. She loves us, misses us, and most importantly- she prays for us.
Congratulations, Chase & Mackey! Now, I have two more great reasons to say, “GEAUX TIGERS!”
Seriously?
What is the Church coming to when we allow trans gendered people to be ministers and lead congregations?
And on top of that, what’s up with the two lesbian “pastors” on the Amazing Race who talk about Jesus, and then make out?
We as a church are to love, embrace, comfort, guide, and lead people living in sin. But to put them in charge of bodies of believers? Is this honestly is the way He would want it?
LSU vs. BAMA
It’s roughly 22 hours til showtime. Here’s a little video to get your juices flowin’!

It’s GEAUX time baby! GEAUX Tigers!!!

Awesome Retreats & Happy Birthdays!
We are having our second Fusion retreat this weekend and I am pretty excited!! I planned the last one, so it was a tad more on the stressful side. However, this time around I have planned nothing!!! So, of course I will be working as always, but I won’t be as concerned about the small details and I can concentrate on letting the Holy Spirit move me. I need a weekend away to really encounter God… a little refreshing, I suppose. We have over 100 college and young pro’s coming with us, and it’s gonna rock! Plus, tomorrow are watching Les Miles’ Tigers smoke Nick “Satan” Saban’s Razorbacks on a big screen. Praise Him!!
When we get home from retreat we get to celebrate my dad’s birthday!! He is by far the coolest man ever to walk the planet besides Jesus and my hubby, so I love getting to recognize him for the special guy that he is. He set my standards high for a life partner, because he showed me what a man should treat women like. Happy Birthday, Daddy!!!
