Meghan, I think everyone who has ever adopted internationally has faced this same line of questioning. People are people; children all over the world are God's children. It frustrates me when people think that Americans are more important to God! God orders the steps of each family on their journey to their children…just like He calls some in missions to minister internationally/ cross-culturally and some domestically. He doesn't always call us to do what makes sense to others, or even what makes sense to us! LOL But I know that His ways are not our ways, and so we follow where He leads…even if that is on the other side of the world. Blessings from a sister in Christ who understands what it's like to have a child far away that is just as real to your heart as the one you gave birth to!
