My Letter to Presley, 10 Months

My Baby Girl,

My good friend Nicole (Sage and Brie’s mom) writes letters to her girls, and I thought it was a great idea, so I’m starting the tradition.

I cannot begin to express how much I love you. You have enlarged my capacity beyond anything I could possibly imagine. You make my world a much brighter and better place.

I wish you could know the joy you bring me. I get sad when I think about the fact that you won’t remember all the fun times we are having now- laughing together, playing with your toys, teaching you to walk, rolling around on the floor, when I go to tickle you and you crack up before I even reach your belly.

All those memories are forever ingrained in my head. You are my first born and I’ve never experienced love like this until now. People always comment on how happy you are all the time. You never cry. You never fuss. You are usually tough as nails. You are so sweet and love to give us “sugars” with a wide open mouth, and great big hugs. Your precious grin with your two little teeth makes my heart melt, and your new favorite scrunched-up face would brighten anyone’s day.

You clap anytime we say “good job”, “yay!” or “clap your hands”. You are so smart and you love books. You can push a walk-behind toy and walk all over the house. You are the fastest crawler I’ve ever seen, and you climb on everything, all the time. You’re mommy’s little monkey!

You are growing so fast and talking all the time. Spoons and bowls are your newest preferred toys- the noisier, the better. You hand us the paci and teddy bear every time we come to get you from your bed with a huge smile on your face. I can’t imagine my life without you in it. Thank goodness Daddy works so hard so that we get to be together all the time. I love you so much!!!

Love,
Mommy

Very cute! I saw a post from you on Twitter and enjoyed checking out your blog. Our son is 10 months old and he’s a joy – it’s so nice to hear someone else talking about how much fun they are having with thier child… I usually hear compliants about family/kids on blogs because people are trying to be funny or they are really that unhappy, not sure which… anyway, very sweet!
