So, I love the Bible. It’s really like the coolest book ever (and I’ve read a lot of books). I think we sometimes forget the power and the promises of God. We start relying on our own knowledge, understanding, and reasoning too often. Seriously, who needs Harry Potter? The Bible has some of the craziest, most unbelievable stories ever told- and they’re TRUE and real and God made them happen.
Think about it. Noah is 500 miles from any water, but he builds a massive boat and gets two of every animal, insect, creature on it. Jonah gets eaten by a whale and spit out again. God appears to Moses in a burning bush. Jesus raises people from the dead. There are hundreds more, but you get the idea. I mean, hello- I get worried about where we will come up with the money for this adoption, and then I remember how Jesus fed around 15,000 people with 5 loaves and two fish (the 5,000 number didn’t include women and children). Really- how amazing is that?
Today I was reading some of my favorite scriptures and I just got so encouraged. I hope they are an encouragement to you.
Psalm 34:10 “The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.” (notice it says any good thing)
Psalm 27:13-14 “Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” (we have to be brave, courageous and patient… grrrr!!!)
Romans 16:20 “The God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.”
I love that verse… the God of peace will crush Satan. And after that violent mental picture, it says that the grace of the Lord shall be with you. Awesome.
God is so cool. Dontcha think?

Psalm 27:13-14 is one of my favorites too! The patient part always gets me. ha ha. It’s so funny that you write this now because I have been saying the same thing for the last month or so:) The Bible is so awesome…… It really is the best book EVER! Thank you for this:)
