Today when I went to the slums, I was inside the container where the kids keep all their “belongings”… They have a little ledge with some crafty items that they sell to bring in money for the project. It dawned on me that some of my readers might want to support this ministry, and they might want some AMAZING African art, too! So, check out these pictures of jewelry, baskets, and hand carved wood items that are all sold DIRT cheap. The baskets sell for 15,000 UGX which is about $7.50. The gorgeous necklace with elephant is only 3,000 UGX, or $1.50. Then the wood carved items range from 5,000-10,000 UGX on average, which is $2.50-5.00… Yeah, BEAUTIFUL handcarved wood pieces for $5 and less! Crazy! Of course, if you wanted to donate more, that would be blissful, as well.
My plan is to take orders and have you pay me via paypal (designating the funds), then I will collect the items and bring them all home with me. If you are local, I can drop them by your house, and if you’re an out of towner, I will have to ship them then (for a few additional dollars). And obviously, I will transfer the funds from my paypal account to my bank account, withdraw the money here and give it to the ministry here. I can have them draw up a receipt if you like.
Also, if you just want to donate to these AMAZING kiddos and this incredible ministry, you can contact Jessica McDonnell at jessmcd17@yahoo.com. She works with both the slum program and the Ssenge village boys’ home. She is one of the most fabulous, fantastic, unreal Christian women on the planet. Her heart is indescribable, and she loves these boys as her own.
Email your orders to meghanmatt@gmail.com… And keep praying that we get the right judge- our adoption case was filed today, but we are waiting to hear about judge and court date. Need His favor!!

Hi there! Yes!!! Count me in. I would like to purchase the hand-carved elephant with the tusks. The orangy-melon and yellow bowl and 5 necklaces. Just let me know how much to Paypal your way! Praying for you.
Me too… I would like to buy a pair of the black and white earrings, one of the black and white baskets w/ lids and both the red beaded necklace on top of the pile of necklaces and the elephant necklace.
I live in Vegas though, so I will cover whatever you need to ship to me when you need to send it (so you can just give them all the $ and not have to take anything out).
Also, what is your Paypal addy?
