Last night I had the pleasure of spending the night at a wonderful family’s home here in Kampala, but it felt like paradise. They have a BEAUTIFUL property and house- rich with lush, green gardens, tall trees, blooming flowers and great company. I had a fabulous, relaxing time, and it was such a huge blessing to get away from the chaos for a bit.
Then around noon today, I braved the taxi system here and found my way out to Ssenge to the boys home. We spent the afternoon with the boys and had so much fun laughing and talking. Several of the boys told me they loved me before I left, and my heart melted. Then I got a text from someone who works with the slum ministry thanking me for everything I do for them… What all these people don’t know is that they have blessed me a million times more than I could ever bless them.
Check out the fundraiser I am doing for the kids of the slums here, and the fundraiser we are doing to help raise the rest of our adoption funds here.

Hi! My family and I are in the process of adopting from Uganda as well. We are all on hold until the courts figure out the current situation. We are praying and believing with you that this gets resolved soon so we can all bring our kids home.
Reading your blog has given more insight and connection to the situation going on there. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Loved reading this!!! So uplifting and sweet. You are amazing!!!!
God is in control, and in HIS timing, you will be home and your family reunited. We are praying for that day to be soon.
I believe it will be!!!
While you are waiting, continue doing such an incredible job serving those precious boys there. What a great experience, for you and for them!!!
Hang in there! You can do this!
