Definitely #1! You could get a cute chair that's a little more on the cozy side. And I agree with getting plush pillows to soften it up a little. Good luck!

I am going to break the mold here:) While I love the first one it looks very uncomfortable and sort of "office like" not very "comfy, homelike and living room esq." The second one- while you couldnt get a chair actually looks comfortable. I dont know if both stores carry them to where you could walk in and sit on them but that might be a good test. I hate our couch because the cushions always pull out when you sit and get up and your constantly putting them back in place but boy is it comfy....so its a hard choice. Good luck!

Definately go for the first one... the dark brown one... even though the other could be dark brown, I still like this one more. And can't go wrong with a lower price and one that SCREAMS, 'The Matts!' ;o)

I love your site! I grew up a "natural" child in a foster family, and just recently started a blog about my experiences living with "other people's children". Thank you for your love and devotion to hurting children all over the world.

Thank you for posting this! I have often felt the same, not because we have adopted a bunch of children, but because we only have one child. You wouldn't believe some of the comments I've heard! Isn't it for the Lord to tell us how many children, not man/woman? Thanks again, Meghan! You have been great these past 6 weeks!!!! <3
