is the second one fabric? and does it lie flat? if it’s leather and lies flat, def. #2!!! if not, depends if kid-friendly outranks guest bed.

I am going to break the mold here:) While I love the first one it looks very uncomfortable and sort of “office like” not very “comfy, homelike and living room esq.” The second one- while you couldnt get a chair actually looks comfortable. I dont know if both stores carry them to where you could walk in and sit on them but that might be a good test. I hate our couch because the cushions always pull out when you sit and get up and your constantly putting them back in place but boy is it comfy….so its a hard choice. Good luck!

Darker one will show less “stuff” from the kids writing/spilling but more animal hair

Definately go for the first one… the dark brown one… even though the other could be dark brown, I still like this one more. And can’t go wrong with a lower price and one that SCREAMS, ‘The Matts!’ ;o)

Thank you for posting this! I have often felt the same, not because we have adopted a bunch of children, but because we only have one child. You wouldn’t believe some of the comments I’ve heard!
