Our Story

LONG story, so in a nutshell:

Girl likes Boy. Boy takes Girl on a date. Boy meets silly girl. Boy dates silly girl and “sows his wild oats”. Girl spends time away from any boys because she’s sick of being dumped.

A year passes. Boy comes to his senses. Boy & Girl spend lots of time together… talk for hours, take long walks, become great friends. Then comes more.

Boy & Girl fall in love.

December 2005: Boy tells Girl he loves her and kisses her for the very first time.

March 2006: Boy proposes to Girl in Kingwood, TX at a picnic by a lake.

October 2006: Boy & Girl get married at the most beautiful ceremony ever.

July 2007: Boy & Girl find out they’re pregnant!

April 2008: Beautiful baby girl arrives!

September 2009: Girl meets son in Africa.

April 2010: Girl brings son home after a 3 month battle in Africa!

November 2010: Boy & Girl are pregnant again! Baby boy will hopefully make his debut in late July/early August!

August 2011: Gorgeous baby boy makes the Matt’s a party of five!

I am at a loss for words. You have turned into a beautiful soul. You seem so well rounded. Congrats on all you blessings. I found you threw myspace and it lead me here. I wish the best for you and your family. I am married, for over a year now, and planning to start my own family at the ends of the year(If we could be so blessed). Good luck with birth of your first child and I will keep you in my prayers. Pamela

I just saw your blog and was very excited and disappointed to hear about the Ugandan government decision. We adopted a little boy two years ago from Amani Baby Cottage in Uganda. It was a very difficult process but worth every minute. I would love to hear from you and tell you more. I wanted to send pictures of Daniel (our son) but couldn’t see how to do it from here. I plan on starting to visit the adoption fellowship. Patricia and James Roan.
